RSVP cards.

The other night the Lord gave me a clear word. I was quick to kind of brush it off and call it strange, but He continued to push it. He asked me why I continue to send Him invitations with an RSVP card included. I was unclear on His meaning behind this, and then it hit. I often send invitations to God for various reasons, His presence, His help, etc. But each time I send the invitation, I also include an RSVP card. Why, is what the Lord asked? There is never a question to what His response is going to be, so why do I doubt Him? He will always come to where He is invited, without fail. Each time I send an RSVP card, I allow myself to doubt His miraculous ways and unfailing love. By using an RSVP card, I make His place at the event optional and easily dismissed. By doing this, I do not truly invite Him. I merely make a suggestion. God does not need my suggestions; He is the Almighty!

My prayer and mission is to stop sending RSVP cards and truly trust His promise. He has never let me down before, and He never will. :)
